Speaker 1:

Hey, I'm Lemon. I am just like you, sister friend. Talk about stepping into that overflow that God has for us by becoming those ultimate Proverbs 31 women. Hey, I'm Lemon. I am just like you, sister friend. I knew God had something more in store for me, but I couldn't see a way out of the laundry piles and, frankly, I resented that Proverbs 31 woman. How was I going to live up to the hype? That is until I found out how to really step into becoming this Proverbs 31 woman through leadership development. In this podcast you're going to find financial freedom, leadership, growth and motivation so you'll be able to do all the things God has called you to do with ease and really step into that land of milk and honey.

Speaker 1:

Welcome back to the Milk and Honey podcast. I'm your host, lemon Price, and I wanted to give a little bit of an update. So, if you remember, I had my friend, chelsea Jubilee, on and we talked all about cellular trauma, replenishing the cell and how that impacts weight loss and all those things. And on that episode I was really raw and I told Chelsea I've tried everything, I've done everything, every diet, everything you could possibly imagine, and yet I was still gaining weight and I couldn't figure it out and so after we recorded that podcast, chelsea was like you need to try it, and so I did, and I'm going to tell you I was not perfect at it and I'm definitely gonna have Chelsea on here, because I'm doing a second round and probably a third round of it to get to where I want to be. But and I appreciate that this program gave me the grace to do that it just do like the next right thing, do what you can do. And so what I loved is because I was busy this season. It was crazy it was my birthday, it was graduation, there was a million holidays in here, we were traveling. It just was a weird season of my life and I was very busy and yet I still managed to get some things done. I still was managing to walk the puppy and get some of that stuff in drinking water, making sure that I'm making like really smart decisions. One thing I love is Chelsea's program gives a fast food guide and so, like my husband and I could go to Whataburger and he loves Whataburger, but I could feel confident in my choices and I could go to Whataburger and he loves Whataburger, but I could feel confident in my choices and I didn't have to sacrifice my health. I could actually enjoy my life and be fully present with everybody.

Speaker 1:

So in the very beginning, there is a 14-day like prep work, and you're getting rid of some things in your house like white flour, sugar, that sort of processed things. I don't eat a ton of sugary things, I just don't. It's not like my go-to. I grew up when I wanted something sweet. I would eat strawberries, like that's my go-to for sweetness, and so I like a little Andy's mint at the end of the day or something. They're delightful.

Speaker 1:

It was Easter weekend and I was detoxing from sugar. I did not realize that it was so bad and I honestly never want to feel that way again. It was so terrible. I was at my in-laws, we just planted the garden for the season and all of a sudden, like I had chills but I was sweating, I had a fever, like I felt so bad and everybody around me was like you eat sugar like the least out of all of us and you're detoxing that bad. Now what I will say is it only lasted a couple of hours. I was fine after. I got some food in and everything and I was okay, but I did not feel great, and I never wanted to feel that way again, and so I will say I successfully have lost weight in this program.

Speaker 1:

I've been more productive. I have some beautiful habits that I'm obsessed with. Been more productive, I have some beautiful habits that I'm obsessed with and I'm just, I feel good, like I just feel good, and I'm not even close to where I want to be yet, but I feel better. The support here is unmatched. I've had the best health coach ever. Shout out to Justin I know he listens to this sometimes. Justin's great, we love him and he's hilarious 10 out of 10.

Speaker 1:

Chelsea actually texted me before I hit record to find out how I was doing, and I'm like man, I feel like I actually have a hope. I feel like I can see the person that I used to be, because I got to a point where this body that I'm living in didn't feel like my own. I didn't know how to walk in this body and how to dress in this body. I don't know how to sit and be comfortable, like I just was uncomfortable in the body I had, and not from a self-deprecating place where I hate the body that I have or something like that. This didn't feel like me. I was an athlete my whole life and this didn't feel like me. And I was an athlete my whole life and this didn't feel like me. And I was eating clean and doing these things and it just wasn't making sense.

Speaker 1:

John and Chelsea like very simple changes. It wasn't like they came in and they said throw everything out and you can eat lettuce and be done with it. That is not what happened at all. I had to force myself in the beginning to eat because I learned I wasn't eating enough. That was part of my problem. I wasn't eating enough, and so there's just been this monumental shift and I've learned so much more about food.

Speaker 1:

If you're like, hey, I could use a little help in this area, then get in contact with Chelsea. I linked to her website and she has a masterclass. You can watch. It's on energizetealthcom and they're just amazing. They're so supportive, they're so encouraging and whether you are 20 or you're 80, you could do this. There are people in this program who are in their 70s or 80s and it is incredible to see them grow and transform right alongside you. It just feels really good, like things that I used to get winded doing. I don't need more, like I just I feel good, and it's only the beginning, so stay tuned because I'm going to end up recording more about this later.

Speaker 1:

I love like why am I talking about the health? Because when I think about all the things that I'm called to do and the things that you're called to do, me being at a subpar health is not working. I cannot be at a place where I am not functioning at my best and my highest if I want to get done the things that I need to get done. And so that's why it's on here, because if you're going to lead, you also have to feel good and you have to take care of your body. Your body can only go so far and you can only accomplish so much with the body that you have. You don't want to put terrible things into it. You want to treat it with respect and honestly. Your body is where the Holy Spirit lives, like God lives in this body that you have, the one that he gave you. God lives in it, and so treat it, my friend, treat it well so you can run the race that God has set before you and you can do it with excellence and you can feel good about what it is that you're doing? I want to encourage you to steward your health, and not just for you, but for the people you're called to serve, for the family that you have, for the ministry that you're a part of. Steward your body, my friends.

Speaker 1:

So I linked to Chelsea's stuff below for you, including the episode I did with her explaining.
